P1F Limited has been acting as Custodian to The Masks for NHS Heroes Charitable Trust, leading procurement, supply-chain management, logistics management, customs liaison, overall management, accounts function, and administrative support.
P1F has also been charitably directly procuring for the Department of Health & Social Care, bringing over 50 million pcs (or approximately £20 million) of PPE to the UK, all completely pro-bono, utilising our teams in China and the UK. Items include 52.7 million Type IIR Face Masks and 130,000 Isolation Gowns - all procured at the height of the crisis. In achieving this, we have been working side-by-side with DHSCs procurement and Technical Assurance teams, including UK Government Consular Teams in the Chongqing and Shanghai Consulate, and Beijing Embassy. P1F has also worked with the Scottish Development International, in arranging donations from The Masks for NHS Heroes Charitable Trust to be donated for healthcare facilities in Scotland.
The mission to bring critical PPE to the NHS Frontline asap has been critically supported with integral collaboration from Crowdfunder (online Crowdfunding site), Fieldfisher (Chief Legal Counsel), ZenCargo (Freight-Forwarder), DHL (UK Logistics partner), AFEX (our Global Foreign Exchange partner), Withers Worldwide (our Charity Legal Counsel), Near Future Labs (Media and Graphics partner), Oliver Caplin (private Legal Counsel), and Seven Hills (Media and Public Relations). This mission wouldn’t have been possible without these partners, who contributed towards this unprecedented achievement.
This work has saved millions of pounds of tax-payer money whilst getting critical PPE to the NHS in record time. Our delivery schedule is now 5 million 3ply Type IIR Face Masks per week until the end of June, with additional items currently being sourced. This has been a tremendous team effort during a global pandemic, where the goal from the beginning has been to help our friends and family effected.
